(From the Londonderry Historical Society)
The immigrants who settled Londonderry were of Scottish-Irish descent. They left their homes in Londonderry, Ireland and arrived in Boston in 1718. Several of the families migrated north and in 1722 established the charter for the Township of Londonderry.
Taverns existed in the area from the earliest days. They were used for storehouses of rum, brandy, gin, tea, coffee, sugar, molasses, snuff and tobacco. The taverns were the center of community gatherings and lively discussions in the Town.
It is in this spirit that O'Shea's Caife & Tae is founded. It embodies both my irish heritage, as my mother immigrated from Ireland, and the history of the town. It is a storefront for tea and coffee and it strives to be the center of community gatherings and spirited discussions
